This is a story of collaboration and love!

This year we had a single father and his son stay at our shelter. Our case manager Michelle worked to get them ANY assistance she could find. This is how we helped this man, with the help of others:

1) After staying in our shelter, they were able to secure an apartment, and we referred them to Access Housing's transitional program, which will help with rent for two years!

2) We contacted Denver Family Rescue Ministry, which then provided furniture for the family

3) After contacting the school districts homeless liasons, we were able to get transportation for the child to continue attending school in Thornton so he could finish out the year at the same school.
