November is National Homeless Youth Awareness Month.
Since 2007, National Homeless Youth Awareness Month has raised awareness for children and families dealing with homelessness and educates the public on ways to help end homelessness.
Through our Supportive Housing program, Almost Home is partnering with several Adams County & Westminster public school districts to provide emergency shelter and housing navigators who work with families in the district. Our goal is to help house students and their families who meet the guidelines of the McKinney-Vento Act (defining student homelessness) and provide students with educational stability ensuring they have as little disruption as possible to their lives during this difficult time.
Join us in wearing green this week to recognize and bring awareness to this issue that affects every community and school district in Colorado and throughout the country.
